Well they were out it started to rain, I said to Rob should I go see if they want a ride? We decided to give them a few minutes as we were not sure how far they had got. Then it started to snow.. really snow! I said no I am going to go and see if they would like a ride home..As I walked outside I was surprised to feel ice pellets on my face.. Yikes I am glad I am going to find them, I drove about a block and a half and found my sweet , calm MIL and son at the top of this hill, I rolled down the window and yelled up "hey you guys want a ride?"
And I got YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs from Cathy, it actually made me laugh out loud. There she was SOAKED with two very wet dogs and a drowned toad. He was crying and not walking very fast heck not at all, Grandma had to grab him by the front of his coat and slowly "help" him come down the hill. I grabbed the toad and put him in the car he was muddy, wet, crying and cold oh yikes it would have taken Cathy 2 hrs to get home with him. I turned and saw my crazy MIL walking back.. NO I said put the dogs in the truck and we will go home.. she said no no and started to walk home..
Toad would not get in the after picture but here is Cathy..
Thank you Grandma.. Toad did have fun..I think!
Ya, yesterday was crazy type weather. Grandmas' are the best aren't they!?
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Believe it or not I miss the weather changes here because there is no snow. I love that she refused to put the dogs in the truck she was more worried about getting your truck dirty than getting dry and warm :)
ReplyDeleteOutings with the grandparents are so much fun for them, despite rain or snow. :)
